Desert Roses with Organic Couscous

Ingredients

  • 50 g of organic cous cous
  • 60 g of hot milk
  • 2 medium eggs
  • 150 g of granulated sugar
  • 270 g of all-purpose flour
  • 150 g of soft butter
  • seeds from half a vanilla pod or vanilla extract
  • 1/2 sachet of baking powder
  • 100 g of chocolate chips
  • A pinch of fine salt
  • 250 g of corn flakes
  • Powdered sugar as much as needed

Method

Add a teaspoon of sugar to the warm milk, stir then add it to the cous cous stir, cover and let rehydrate for 10 minutes. After the resting time has elapsed, shell with a fork.

Mix soft butter with sugar, a pinch of salt and vanilla.

Add the eggs and continue to mix, when the eggs are incorporated also add the chocolate chips and mix.

Add the sifted flour together with the baking powder, and mix until the mixture is smooth.

Finally, add the shelled cous cous as well and stir until it is incorporated into the mixture

Place the dough back in the refrigerator for about 30 to 40 minutes, then with the help of a spoon scoop out some of the dough poured into the corn flakes and adhere them by applying light pressure.

Spread the cookies well apart on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 15-16 minutes
